Nintendo Offers Free Wii Remote Jackets

new hardware will include the jackets while existing owner can have them shipped.

When I woke up this morning I noticed the flashing blue light emanating from my Wii - letting me know Nintendo had an update waiting for me.  The update?  Apparently Nintendo will be offering a Wii Remote Jacket on all new hardware to help protect the remotes from drops and throws.  Existing hardware owners can fill out this form to have up to four jackets shipped free!

It's amazing to how "above and beyond" Nintendo is going with their Wii Remote customer service.  I mean, first they send out free wrist strap replacements and now free jackets?  I have yet to come close to dropping or throwing any remotes but I'll still be picking these up - just in case.

This is just one prime example of Nintendo stepping up above the rest. When my friend's Xbox (perhaps 360? I think so.) was malfunctioning it took them FOREVER to even get anywhere with the bubble headed fools at Microsoft.
